Norwest Productions Pty Ltd has been in the audio industry since 1993.  Prior to this Chris Kennedy, Norwest CEO, was a recognised entertainment agent and musician – making him no stranger to the audio industry.

The company commenced trading with a focus on corporate events. As the company grew Norwest became increasingly involved in special events. This led to a turning point when Norwest was awarded the audio contract for the opening & closing ceremonies for the Sydney 2000 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Hailed as a great success, the 2000 Olympic ceremonies drew the highest praise for technical production excellence, thereby cementing Norwest’s reputation as a large-scale international special event supplier. Naturally our inventory & experience grew substantially in the course of facilitating such events; Norwest Productions prides itself on the standards we have set in the industry.

Following our venture into large scale special event markets, Norwest’s core focus on corporate events never waivered and continued to grow with our Brisbane office opening on July 1st 2002. From there we expanded into other markets including Sporting Events, Concert Touring, Theatrical residencies and Television. The opening of our Melbourne Office in 2004 meant we were able to supply our services in any genre or media format requiring audio of the highest standard across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland with a local office and the logistical ability to service any location in the world with events in Perth, Darwin, Adelaide, Athens, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Canada and the United States. In April 2007 Norwest opened a branch in Beijing PRC.

In February 2008, Anacacia Capital Pty Limited, a boutique private equity fund specialising in SME’s invested in the company. Norwest Productions expanded by the acquisition of Oceania Audio, New Zealand's leading production company, and Maclean Audio based in Melbourne. This allowed Norwest to gain two new office locations, Auckland and Wellington and enabled an expansion of equipment, personnel and expertise in Melbourne.

The Norwest Group has world-class inventory and continues to invest in the latest technologies. However our main asset is the skilled, passionate and enthusiastic staff who are determined to deliver your events’ audio to the highest standard in line with your creative concept. We accept every challenge with a ‘can-do’ attitude and welcome every opportunity to shine.
