Norwest Supplies Sports Presentation Audio Systems
for 15th Doha Asian Games
Norwest teamed up with local company
CCG in association with AV Tech and Australian Company Bytecraft Entertainment
to provide a total turnkey solution to the entire Sports Presentation
Audio Visual production requirements for the 15th Asian Games Doha,
Qatar.
| There were
a total of 39 Sports, 46 Disciplines spread over 16 precincts
and 50 Venues. Norwest installed 116 Audio Systems which included,
Media Press room Systems, Religious room and Meeting room Systems,
entire Athletes Village Installation, 44 Sports Presentation
Systems ranging from Football Stadiums to Sports and Aquatic
Centre, Outdoor Marathon and Cycling Venues, Rowing and Kayaking
Venue, Equestrian and Cross Country Venues as well as Spectator
Services and Pedestrian Screening Systems. These systems included
a wide variety of speaker systems, control and infrastructure
which included Battery operated Speaker Systems with built in
Cd Players and Radio Microphones, Full range 100V line Systems,
a variety of Self powered and Unpowered Speakers, Concert Speaker
Systems, Portable and Mobile Systems and of course a gaggle
of 100v Line Horns. |

The majority of amplification was taken care
of by Lab Gruppen amplifiers primarily fp6400 and C68-4’s.
Their amazing sound quality, power handling, auto detecting circuitry
and reliability made it a very easy choice given the incredibly
harsh environments they were subjected to.

All sports
Presentation Mixing Control was done using Yamaha O1V96 Digital
Mixing Consoles using MY8DA output cards to give a total of
14 individual mix Outputs.With all onboard processing, routing
and a very intuitive mixing surface we found these consoles
to have all the features we required in a tiny footprint which
was paramount for the event. |
