Norwest Brisbane joins the Virgin Blue Charity Hanger Ball to celebrate Earth Hour
Norwest Productions Brisbane supplied audio solutions for Virgin Blue’s Charity Hanger Ball on March 29, 2008 in conjunction with Earth Hour. Held in Virgin Blue's massive maintenance hanger at Eagle Farm, 3000 guests were entertained by Evermore, Marcia Hines and Rogue Traders. The event was hosted by Sir Richard Branson himself and was attended by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh and Federal Treasurer Wayne Swan.

Between mains and dessert, guests were invited to participate in an auction offering a collection of money-can't-buy experiences that included a safari at Branson's own, African game park; naming rights to a Virgin Blue aircraft; and the chance to appear in Russell Crowe's latest Hollywood movie. |
A large system of 24 Acoustic Technologies Blackbird cabinets were flown in the hanger and system engineer Will Davey excelled himself once again by providing an excellent system design in a very challenging environment of tin and concrete.
