Norwest flying high with Iron Maiden and EAW KF760

Norwest recently completed the 2008 national for seminal rockers Iron Maiden. Norwest senior system engineer Ewan McDonald and his team comprising Antonio Calvi and Gary “Gus” Oberg provided a large EAW KF760 line array rig for all shows except Perth where they provided Norwest’s Adamson Y18 rig. Duplicate rigs were required as there was insufficient time to travel the rig from the first show in Perth to the next show in Melbourne.

The rig comprised:

40:       EAW KF760 line array
12:       EAW KF761 line array downfill
8:         EAW KF650 frontfill
24:       EAW SB1000 subs

The system was powered using LabGruppen fp6400 and processed with the EAW UX8800 Gunness Focused processors.

Highlight of the tour for the crew (apart from the obvious of working with one of their top favourite bands) was traveling in the Iron Maiden personal jet.
