Peats Ridge Festival

Set in the isolated and beautiful Glenworth Valley the three day music and arts festival (for the more mature festival attendee) took place over the New Year's Eve period. Despite the cancellation of last years event due to flooding of the festival site numbers were high - but not as high as the spirits of the attendees. Peats Ridge is the first major event in Australia to run completely on renewable energy and the winner of the NSW Government's 2008 Green Globe Award for being the leader in Environmental Sustainability across all industry in NSW.

Norwest Productions provided twelve stages of audio from the three main stages to the tents - smaller in size but not in attendance. Norwest staff mixed over 150 bands and acts over the three days.

Systems ranged from EAW KF760 and EAW KF730 line array systems to dance tents of Funktion 1 Res5 and SB218 systems. The range of music and entertainment was varied with local and international artists playing a wide range including rock, reggae, hip hop, dance and funk.

Everyone, both attending and working on the event, was very pleased with the overall outcome. With the success of this year's event festival organisers are putting plans in place to make it even bigger and better next year.
