Norwest Melbourne helps out at Sound Relief

Norwest joined with Johnston Audio to provide production services for the recent Sound Relief Concert held at the MCG. The concert was held to raise funds for the victims of the recent bushfires in Victoria. Entertainment included Wolf Mother, Jet, Hunters & Collectors, Jack Johnson, Gabriella Cilmi, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly and Augie March.

Despite the extreme wind, very heavy rain and the obvious challenges this provided; the show was fantastic. Norwest supplied 42 L'Acoustic Kudo in 14 arrays of three on Norwest's custom carts. These were powered by Lab Gruppen FP10000Q's with Dolby Lake Processors. This system was used to provide sound to the grandstand area of the ground. Each cart contained a separate Dolby Lake Processor for control and time alignment.

Norwest Crew included Andrew Marsh, Greg Millikan, Jackson Akers and Stuart Scott. Norwest project manager Andrew Marsh thought that Midnight Oil and Gabriella Cilmi were the standout performers of the show!
