Norwest & Oceania tour VDOSC for Neil Diamond

Norwest Productions provided a comprehensive L’Acoustics system for the month long Neil Diamond tour of New Zealand and Australia. For Norwest it was not just one industry giant in the form of Neil Diamond but two as we were working for legendary audio director and Parnelli Award winner Stanley Miller who has been with Neil Diamond for forty one years.

The touring system had to be comprehensive enough to accommodate everything from a full house in the round at Sydney’s Acer Arena to open air at Challenge Stadium in Perth. Norwest provided:

• 30            VDOSC
• 54            dVDOSC
• 36            KUDO
• 32            SB218
• 8               ARCS

.....plus amplification (Lab fp6400 and LA48), processing (Dolby Lake), rigging (CM-Lodestar both 1t and 2t, cable management trusses, delta plates etc) and power distribution including a substantial 240v/110v step-down transformer and distribution system. Control and monitors were provided by the act.

The first shows were in Vector Arena before heading for Australia. Norwest Oceania crew (Oceania’s legendary founder Greg Peacocke, Ricky Gallagher and John Dunlop) travelled with the production for the whole tour.
