dV-DOSC gets 'up close and personal' with the genius of Jerry Lewis

Norwest Productions came to the party at the 11th-hour to provide stunning audio production for a lavish charity dinner at Melbourne's Peninsula Room at Central Pier Docklands.

The event was organised by colourful Melbourne identity Mick Gatto, and was a fundraising opportunity for both the Father Bob Maguire Foundation, and the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. Mr. Jerry Lewis is the National Chairman of Muscular Dystrophy USA, and has raised over 2.6 billion dollars globally for them in the past 60 years.

As well as comedy legend Jerry Lewis, the event featured musical acts Normie Rowe and David Campbell, who had the event security extremely worried when he invited over 50 of the night's attendees up on to stage to dance along with his band! The night also featured 4 solo acts, a live auction, and a meal designed by celebrity chef, and all round Norwest favourite, Guy Grossi. Andrew Marsh, Marty Beath and Chad Lynch did a fabulous job managing the hectic schedule and demanding audio requirements.

The FOH PA utilised 18 dV-Dosc and 4 L-Acoustic SB218's, driven by the PLM10000Q racks, with a centre hang of Meyer M1D covering the middle of the room. EAW JF260's provided delay fill, with McLeans MP122's as stage monitors. Marty used the Digidesign Profile at front of house, and Chad had a Yamaha M7CL at monitors. RF was all Shure R-series, excepting the last minute addition of an ancient VHF in-ear system for Mr. Lewis, which provided much bemusement for all who visited monitor land!

Congratulations go out to all involved in what was a very high pressure show, executed with trademark Norwest precision.
