Dame Kiri and the other guest singers used Schoeps microphones on collette stems for their performances. The orchestra used 22 of these same Schoeps microphones, the sound of which Adrian Riddell, Norwest's Opera in the Vineyards account manager, describes as "like a full-bodied and luscious red wine which only gets better with age."

This was the first year for Norwest working on Opera in the Vineyards, and both our client, 4D International, and the audience gave Norwest great feedback. Audio designer was Adrian Riddell and the highly professional crew consisted of  Matt Whitehead, John Watterson and John Warren, 2011 saw Opera in the Vineyards reach new technical standards which we can be very proud of.
